Job description

Barnardo’s Play for All Saturday Clubs are for children with learning difficulties, sensory impairments and medical conditions between the ages of five and twelve. The children can bring along a sibling, cousin or friend. The aim of the clubs is to provide play and fun activities for the children, to assist in the development of their self-esteem and to provide lasting health and wellbeing benefits. The clubs are run on a membership only basis to ensure that we can safely meet the needs of the children attending..

Responsibilities

• Club preparation and tidying up, two-hour club, recording and supervision/support meetings.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Experience of working with disabled children and children with Autism
• Experience working with disabled and non disabled children in a play/leisure setting
• Experience leading a team or group

Work time: Saturdays.
