Job description

As a Care Assistant with Silver Birch Lodge, you will assist the Nurse in Charge in the smooth running of the Night duty shift, ensuring our Residents receive the highest quality care. Attending to the personal care needs of our Residents, providing support and encouragement and promoting independence and respecting dignity of each individual Resident.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and continence support.
• Assisting residents with mobility, transfers, and the use of mobility aids.
• Supporting residents with feeding assistance where required.
• Maintaining accurate care records and documentation.
• Supporting nurses and senior care staff with clinical and non-clinical tasks.
• Ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment at all times.
• Following care plans, health and safety guidelines, and infection control procedures
• Treating all residents with respect, dignity, and compassion.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Ability to work alone as well as part of a team
• NISCC registered (or willing to apply)
• Willing to complete an Enhanced Access NI check
• Two satisfactory references from previous two employers

Desirable Skills

• 1 years experience in a similar caring role.
