Finn Lough serves fresh, seasonal fare so our diners can enjoy the best flavours from the region. We are looking to hire a Kitchen Assistant to work alongside the Chef’s team, assisting with ingredient preparation as well as maintaining a clean and tidy work area. You will receive hands-on training from our experienced chefs and gain an understanding of everything that goes into running a busy restaurant..

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitising all food preparation areas according to the standards of hygiene.
• Washing and appropriately storing all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes.
• Assisting the Chef with the preparation of meal ingredients, which includes washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruit, vegetables, poultry, and meat.
• Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floors as well as wiping down kitchen walls.
• Assisting with the unloading of delivered food supplies.
• Organising and correctly storing food supplies.
• Promptly transferring meal ingredients from storage areas to the kitchen as per the Chef's instructions.

• Previous experience working in a kitchen is desired but not required (training will be provided)

Further Information

Work time: 8 hour shifts scheduled between 9am and 11pm. A successful kitchen assistant will have a strong attention to detail, work well within a team and be able to effectively manage their time to ensure all tasks are completed accordingly.
