Job description

You will provide crucial programme and event administrative support to support the delivery of the Navigating the Future strategy. This is the perfect role for someone looking to further their career in sport, programme or event delivery or administration. This is an exciting time to join RYA Northern Ireland. The organisation has recently launched its new strategic plan, 'Navigating the Future’, setting out four strategic aims with five underpinning strategic pillars. You will join a team of six staff members who are passionate, caring and proud of the work that they do, inspired by those making the sport happen daily in their communities. As a team, we are brave and ambitious and always open to test new approaches to help find solutions. We like to be visible and get out and about to events and clubs so we see and hear about the inspirational stories and the challenges that exist for the sport to develop.

Responsibilities

  • Provide event administration support to the RYA NI team, setting up event bookings, taking payments and putting event reports together.
  • Make and manage bookings of courses, venues and equipment.
  • Communicate with event attendees.
  • Manage programme/event/course evaluation and post event communication.
  • Support the Executive Assistant with day-to-day administration tasks.
  • Communicate with clubs to organise bookings, payments and arrange visits.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise workload.
  • Experience of using Microsoft software, mainly Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous administration experience.

The Employer is: ROYAL YACHTING ASSOCIATION NORTHERN IRELAND Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. 16/17yrs £5.28, 18/20yrs £7.49, 21/22yrs £10.18, 23/24yrs £10.42 per hour.
