Site Maintenance, Club House Resources Supervisor
Job description
To assist the executive committee and current volunteers with the upkeep and development of Atticall GAC Grounds and Club House and assist with the safe operation and smooth running throughout the grounds facilities. The post holder will provide an important and valued role in ensuring that Atticall GAC provides a clean, welcoming, safe and enjoyable impression and experience for all its members and visitors. The role provides the scope to undertake a range of work experience tasks with potential accredited training to assist with future career development and progression. Working with a team of motivated and trained volunteers with a focus upon ensuring the main community facility in the area is accessible, kept in good condition, presentable and functioning to allow the club to support and mentor young people to achieve their full potential through sport and our community projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop personal and work skills and experiences for career development across a wide range of employment opportunities within the educational, leisure and recreation, sports and the service industry. As a community sports organisation, we provide personal and social development opportunities to children, young people, young adults, adults and families with a focus upon supporting those from the most socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds and communities and integrating them through sport and community activities. This role will include working with volunteers as well as members of the community. We need someone who is vibrant, has good initiative and is passionate in helping us reach our goals within the organisation..
Responsibilities
- Site maintenance including groundworks (grass cutting, hedge trimming, minor facilities' repairs, painting, power-hosing, pitch lining, weeding, collecting rubbish etc).
- Clubhouse maintenance including minor repairs, health and safety equipment checking and auditing ie. fire extinguishers, first aid boxes, lights, emergency procedures, clean changing rooms and facilities that are in use by the public.
- Stores and resources support, stock auditing, quality checking, maintaining storage systems and procedures).
- Event and activity management set-up and support (including rearranging tables/chairs in lounge and other areas, equipment loading and set up Cleaning and restocking site facilities including the site toilet, shower and changing facilities.
- Waste disposal and recycling. other responsibilities as required.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Able to manage time.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills for working with community and others.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of using grounds equipment.
- Gardening experience.
- Experience of day to day running of a club grounds.
Further Information
The Employer is: ATTICALL GAC. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. Wage: 16/17 £5.28, 18/20yrs £7.49, 21/22yrs £10.18, 23/24yrs £10.42 per hour.
