Olympic Handball Participation Officer


Job description

Olympic Handball Participation Officer based in Belfast.

Responsibilities

  • Grow the presence of Olympic Handball in Northern Ireland.
  • Coaching Olympic Handball.
  • Arranging schools' competitions.
  • Planning and delivering age-appropriate coaching sessions.
  • Administration and organisation of coaching sessions in schools.
  • Liaising and communicating with school and Club staff.
  • Planning and scheduling of tournament and events.
  • Budgeting and costings of activities.
  • Organising, developing and delivering a varied range of handball activities, projects or programmes.
  • Managing budgets.
  • Keeping statistical and financial records planning.
  • Undertaking administrative tasks e.g., emails, phone calls and writing reports.
  • Liaising and working with relevant organisations or agencies including youth services, schools, clubs, sports coaches and sports councils.
  • Monitoring and assessing progress.
  • Collaborate with local coaches, volunteers and staff.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Mode of transport and Drivers Licence.
  • Enhanced Access NI Check.
  • Ability to communicate and lead.
  • Ability to build relationships with participants of all ages.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous coaching experience.
  • Coaching badges.
  • Safeguarding.
  • First Aid.

Further Information

The Employer is: IRISH OLYMPIC HANDBALL ASSOCIATION. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. Salary: 16-17 £6.40, 18-20 £8.60, 21 plus £11.44 per hour.
