Job description

The Employer is: EDUCATIONAL VOICE. We are seeking someone who is passionate about creating content and for children. They are detail oriented and strive to continuously develop their work and learn from those around them. The individual will work with the company team to come up with ideas for unique content creation to support children’s learning. After these brainstorming ideas the individual will write content and scripts to be produced into animations. Feedback and training will be provided for every single piece of work produced, with an aim to develop a fully proficient writer over a period of months. Any content developed will be available to the individual to refer o and showcase at any point. The ideal person will already have written scripts or content as a passion project, may have studied some creative writing or education - but this is not essential. We will ask to see a sample of writing to see the style and understanding- full training will be provided - pre starting and then through weekly reviews and feedback sessions. The job will be remote - hence there will not be extensive travel required. All meetings will be held via zoom. While there will be at some stage face to face meetings, where the individual may travel to the Belfast office. There is no requirement for them to travel to our office in Belfast, unless they would like to. .

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our internal team to brainstorm creative ideas for unique educational content that supports children's learning.
  • Write compelling content and scripts that will be transformed into educational animations.
  • Review and revise work based on feedback and performance metrics to continuously improve content quality.
  • Participate in weekly review and feedback sessions aimed at ongoing professional development.
  • Maintain a portfolio of developed content for future reference and showcasing.
  • Previous experience writing scripts or content is a plus; passion projects are highly welcome.
  • Strong written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • A proactive learner, willing to receive and act on feedback.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Creativity and good writing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Experience in writing for children desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in the education sector desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent time management, organisation and communication skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Degree or Diploma in Creative Writing or creative media topic is desirable but not essential.

Further Information

The Employer is: EDUCATIONAL VOICE. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended, and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
