Job description

Under the direction of the Leader and/or Deputy, assist with the preparation of pre-school learning and play activities and resources. Working both inside and in the outdoors, support language and social skills development of pre-school children..

Responsibilities

• To play alongside individual children or groups.
• To create displays and resources for children to use.
• To prepare play materials, paint, play dough etc.
• To clean before and after, the learning resources and areas used.
• To prepare and supervise children's snacks and clean the kitchen area afterwards.
• To help with promoting the setting through social media platforms.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Communication skills.
• ICT skills.

Desirable Skills

• Basic vocabulary in Irish will be very desirable.
• As this is an Irish-medium setting, a desire to use or to learn some basic Irish vocabulary would be of great benefit.

Further Information

The Employer is: NAÍSCOIL GHREANACHÁIN Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. Salary: 16-17 £6.40, 18-20 £8.60, 21 plus £11.44 per hour.
