Job description

We are recruiting for a Cook to join our team at Drapersfield House. We require Cook, to place orders and and ensure all food is cooked to the highest standards. The cook will work together along with Kitchen assistance to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen. The cook will assist head cook within the Home to update menu on a regular basis as per home policy and minimum standards..

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the kitchen is hygienically clean at all times
• Ensure dietary requirements are monitored, adhered to and met as necessary
• Prepare meals at an agreed time as required by the home and residents
• Offer and prepare meal options for residents

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Good communication skills
• Experience within a care home setting, is preferred but not essential
• NVQ level 2 or 3 desirable but not essential

Further Information

Full Induction training will be given. Staff will keep up to date with courses online and attend mandatory training as and when required.
