Events Assistant


Job description

The employer is: IN KLOVER. As an events assistant, you will provide logistical and administrative support for events as well as being hands-on during the setup, delivery and take down stages. Coached by and collaboratively supporting management, you will work to deliver meaningful and memorable experiences. Events assistants work alongside the store team and are key to maximising attendee experience through careful planning and thoughtful execution..

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the event planning stage, monitoring timescales and maintaining communication with suppliers.
  • Place orders as requested, managing expenses and maintain records/documentation for review.
  • Work closely with marketing to develop marketing material to promote the event.
  • Be on-site during the event to ensure smooth running and optimal attendee experience.
  • Evaluate the success of previous events in terms of experience and ROI.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, taking a professional and friendly approach to developing strong working relationships with both suppliers and attendees.
  • Work on the till using our systems and handle cash (training will be given).
  • Any other reasonable duties to meet business needs.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Active listening skills and the ability to accept constructive feedback.
  • A flexible approach to work with the willingness to tailor hours to events.
  • Creative flair with an appreciation for experience and aesthetics.
  • Ability to work well with others, proactively sharing workloads.
  • Good numeracy skills.
  • Willingness to learn main software / computer packages.
  • An interest in art and handmade products.
  • This role is mainly based in our stores in Moira & Hillsborough but travel may be required across the UK and Ireland e.g. for events, training etc.

Further Information

The employer is: IN KLOVER. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. Tuesday - Friday: 09:30 - 14:00, Saturday: 09:30 - 16:30. Hours may vary to meet business needs. Salary: 16-17 £6.40, 18-20 £8.60, 21 plus £11.44 per hour
