Trainee Powder Coater/Workshop Operative

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain our machinery, powder coating booths, Ovens, Blasting machine, air dryer, compressor, Washers and equipment ensuring efficiency.
  • Monitor ovens, washers, powder coating booths, powder coating guns, blasting machine, DA s to detect any malfunctions or deviations from standards and if not make corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular inspections of machines and equipment to ensure proper functioning, cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Perform routine maintenance of equipment and machinery, cleaning filters, cleaning blasting machine etc.
  • Collaborate with other team members to co ordinate production schedules and ensure timely completion of orders.
  • Inspect the work being powder coated ie: sufficient coverage, prior to being put through an oven cycle.
  • Inspect the work thoroughly after the cycle, do quality checks, inform Production Manager of any issues after powder coating, to ensure corrective actions can be made.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised working environment.
  • Report any issues, concerns or improvements related to machinery, materials, finished product or safety to the Production manager.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience in production would be beneficial but not necessary.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to produce high quality work.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and manoeuvre metal parts onto racks.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and knowledge of relevant safety procedures.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as of a team.
  • Punctuality and reliability to meet production deadlines.
  • Methodical approach when problem solving.
  • Self motivated with the ability to use your own initiative.
  • Good communication skills is very important to us.
  • Good time management.

Desirable Skills

  • Ability to multitask.

Further Information

The Employer is: STATIC INDUSTRIAL COATINGS. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended, and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
