Flexographic Printer


Job description

The successful candidate will fulfil the role of flexographic printer and will operate state-of-the-art machinery to produce high-quality printed products that meet and exceed our customers' quality requirements. .

Responsibilities

  • Operating flexographic printing presses
  • Ensure all job changes on machines are carried out efficiently and correctly
  • Ensure accurate set up of jobs and print runs
  • Monitoring and controlling print quality ensuring it meets customer standards
  • Ensure accurate adjustment of colour as required and complete required colour matching and quality checks
  • Optimise press speeds for efficient production and waste minimization
  • Help to progress the resolution, detection and prevention of problems on machines
  • Ensuring compliance with SOPs to prevent defective quality materials from reaching the customer
  • Accurate completion of all related paperwork and production records
  • Maintaining good housekeeping in work area
  • Adherence to standard operating procedures including PPE, health and safety, hygiene, and quality.
  • Be involved in the company's continuous improvement plans through Lean initiatives and projects.
  • Manage Print Assistant and assign duties to ensure the effective operation of the printing press.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • 2 plus years of previous experience in a similar role i.e. printer experience in manufacturing, ideally flexographic printing
  • Good time-keeping skills
  • Fluent in English Language both verbal and written
  • Team participation along with good interpersonal skills
  • Accuracy in comprehensively completing all tasks
  • Good IT Skills
  • Adaptability / flexibility in meeting the changing working environment
  • Good mechanical understanding of machinery
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal relationship and teamwork skills
  • Be flexible in this role with overtime and shift changes

Further Information

Work Time: 40 hours per week, 3 x cycle shifts (8 hour rotating shift cycle, days 06.00-14.00, evenings 14.00-22.00, nights 22.00-06.00). Benefits: Company pension. Length of Service rewards.
