Job description

The Employer is: OSCAR & OSCAR LTD. We are seeking for a highly motivated creative wishing to join an exciting team of Architects. You will be working within a multi disciplinary team environment, merging architectural / interiors & 3D visualisation to form a coherent logical design process. Project types ranging from Hotels / Hospitality F&B / Offices & Private. You'll have a creative approach to communicating design ideas, and be comfortable working both under a senior Architects instruction but also at times independently. With this being a small practice, you will have a level of independence/ trust, and as such should be a self-starting with a vision to becoming an integral part of a growing business .

Responsibilities

• Applicants will be expected to perform the tasks listed below.
• Analysis of Design Brief.
• Development of Mood Boards.
• Detailed design research.
• Client meetings.
• Site Surveys.
• Working with client / contractors for site & design queries.
• 2D or 3D CAD (i.e. 3d model, elevations / sections / plans).
• Interior space planning.
• Interior scheme design through 3D visualisation.
• Design Presentation layouts.
• Material Design Selection and specification.
• Final specification drawings for procurement.
• Support the management, and running, of architectural & interiors projects within the practice.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Hold a degree or equivalent in an Architectural, Interior design or Construction related subject, ideally with a years practical experience working as a Graduate or Student Technologist equivalent in an architectural environment.
• Fully proficient in the use of AutoCAD and SketchUp. Knowledge of Revit would be an advantage.
• The candidates should have excellent presentation skills and a creative approach to communicating design ideas.

Desirable Skills

• Experience using Revit.
• 3D rendering skills.
• Ability to use Adobe Suite and excellent graphic skills.
• Have experience in the following software packages: Photoshop / Vray / Autocad / Word / Excel.
• Possess a valid driving license and have the use of a car.

Further Information

The Employer is: OSCAR & OSCAR LTD. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended, and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
