Job description

The Employer is: BELFAST SOUTH COMMUNITY RESOURCES. BSCR is seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as an e-Learning Developer. As part of our strategic Digital Transformation Programme, BSCR is seeking to expand our successful in-person ICT training to a diverse audience through online course offerings to distance learners. This expansion aligns with our commitment to providing accessible and high-quality education. This is an exciting time for BSCR as we expand on our I.T. delivery and our examination and testing centre in south Belfast. This role will provide an excellent opportunity for those wishing to build their portfolio and support future employment. The successful candidate will play a key part in shaping the future of BSCR's educational delivery. As we venture into the realm of online learning, you will contribute to the development of engaging and effective e-learning courses, ensuring that our educational content remains at the forefront of innovation. This role is particularly significant as we expand our I.T. delivery and establish a state-of-the-art examination and testing centre in south Belfast..

Responsibilities

  • Research and explore Learning Management Systems and an online training strategy that will work in tandem to achieve BSCRs desired outcomes.
  • Research, explore and present potential online course development and current business models.
  • Report to and support the Learning & Development Manager.
  • Support the delivery of a more inclusive education environment.
  • Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure the functionality and effectiveness of e-learning courses.
  • Create documentation for developed courses, including instructional guides and user manuals.
  • Advise staff on how technology can be used to improve the accessibility of teaching and learning resources.
  • Research and present suitable online financial payment systems.
  • Complete any other duties and projects as may be assigned by management.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Degree in IT related subject.
  • Experience in designing, developing and delivering E-Learning tools.
  • Experience of using and working within a Virtual Learning Environment.
  • Have experience with Learning Management Systems.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of delivering training in learning technologies and providing technical support.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Further Information

The Employer is: BELFAST SOUTH COMMUNITY RESOURCES. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended, and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. Salary: 16-17 £6.40, 18-20 £8.60, 21 plus £11.44 per hour.
