The Employer is: DISABILITY ACTION. Main Purpose of the Job: Disability Action is delighted to offer this opportunity under the JobStart Scheme funded by the Department for Communities. We are looking for a Marketing Assistant to support the work of our services teams. The post holder will support our marketing efforts to enhance our brand presence, community engagement and impact across all platforms. Reporting Arrangements: The successful candidate will be responsible to and report to a Disability Action Manager. The Marketing Assistant will be based in our HQ in Belfast and support all the DA offices throughout Northern Ireland. .

Responsibilities

  • Develop content for our digital channels, print and physical brand awareness for specific services and campaigns, such as our DATS transport scheme, mobility centre and employment and skills teams.
  • Create, share and track content across various digital platforms, including social media (Facebook, LinkedIn etc.), website and e-mail campaigns and external marketing via publications, newspapers etc.
  • Analyse and report on marketing activities, trends and feedback including competitor analysis, to help us to innovate our content for new audiences and new areas of service delivery.
  • Stay updated and inform us of digital marketing trends and tools and help us to adapt our marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Create and co-ordinate our marketing calendar and collaborate with our teams to develop and maintain good news postings on a consistent basis.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Knowledge of digital marketing platforms and tools.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, identify issues and resolve with minimal direction.
  • Basic graphic design skills and an appreciation of aesthetics.
  • Can create, proof read, edit and develop content for multiple audiences.
  • Be a person with a disability, with knowledge and understanding of the issues and barriers for disabled people in employment.

Desirable Skills

  • Analytical skills for campaign evaluation.
  • Previous experience or relevant qualification in marketing / digital marketing or content creation for organisations.

The Employer is: DISABILITY ACTION. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended, and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
