Job description

The Employer is: JENKINS FOOD LTD (THE CHIPPY). You will be required to work as part of a team in a bay, fast paced workplace environment. We are seeking a candidate that is able to adapt to different situations on any day. There will be good preparation duties, cleaning rotas to follow. There are different aspects of the job to learn such as doing the till, food preparation, preparing orders, answering telephones calls and processing orders online. You will be required to learn every area at the business and undertake duties confidently. .

Responsibilities

• Processing cash and card payments.
• Preparing and completing customer orders.
• Food preparation.
• Presenting yourself in correct uniform and adhering to shop policies. For example no jewellery permitted.
• Responsibility of opening and closing the shop.
• Managing a frying range and training confidently to learn all the controls.
• How to store food correctly.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Good communication skills.
• Being able to work as part of a team.
• Good customer service - face to face and telephone.
• Use initiative.
• Numeracy - dealing with customer orders and being able to count money.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Further Information

The Employer is: JENKINS FOOD LTD (THE CHIPPY). Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended, and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
