Job description

We are looking for a dedicated, highly motivated individual to join our team at Ben Vista Nursery! The job will include managing production and supervising the teams running multiple machines. We have an automated transplanter for picking off bedding plants, and two potting machines for bigger plants..

Responsibilities

• Managing the teams in production, making sure the production staff has everything that they require to run an efficient production line.
• Ensure your team keep the production area to standards and quotas are met daily.
• Making sure the products are readily available to you, liaising with the forklift driers whenever you require more stock.
• Liaising with the office team to establish what is due in for production and what you need to organize for the week ahead. Responsible for stock control.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Ability to work well in a team environment and be able to communicate well with everyone.
• Adaptable to different dynamic situations.
• Highly organized and efficient individual.
• Excellent time keeping.

Desirable Skills

• Forklift licence would be beneficial but not required.

Further Information

Other duties may include helping complete orders in dispatch, this could include cleaning/pricing plants. Checking off orders and wrapping trolleys, ready for loading onto lorries. Other duties may also include joining a team setting down plants after production or lifting plants for orders to be dispatched. Extra hours may be required during the busy season.
