Job description

Housekeeper/Waiting Staff. Contracted hours 10 hours per week. Work start time is from 8am-1pm, Saturdays and Sundays. If extra hours are required, there are more hours available during Summer or school holidays..

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and servicing the guest house including rooms and all public areas as directed by the Manager.
• Complete tasks such as making beds, changing linens, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures. Ensuring guest rooms are presented to a high standard.
• Ironing using a roller press
• Breakfast serving duties include meeting & greeting guests in the dining room. Taking orders and serving food.
• Cleaning and resetting tables and keeping all areas of the dining room and kitchen neat and tidy.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Previous cleaning, housekeeping or care home cleaning experience would be preferred.
• Previous kitchen/restaurant waiting experience would be an advantage for serving breakfast.
• Must be flexible and an excellent team player but also able to work without supervision.
• High cleaning standards are essential as well as good customer service skills.
• Must be able to work well under pressure and to set cleaning times.

Desirable Skills

• Must have an eye for detail.
