Job description

A visual teller of stories: You are a filmmaker, storyteller, editor and motion designer who is passionate about bringing stories to life. From conception to delivery, you know how to create immersive experiences that make emotional connections with your audience and tell a compelling story. You can think big but you pay attention to the details and know how to set the right tone for your audience. A natural collaborator: You will work as part of a larger studio of brand, art, graphic and digital designers in Belfast and Derry to help our clients to tell their stories and build their brands through film and motion graphics..

Responsibilities

  • Receiving a brief or maybe an outline of footage and/or a shot list, script, storyboard or screenplay and adding value through creative approaches to filming, editing or motion graphics.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to conceptualise and develop innovative concepts for video projects.
  • Filming for client projects as well as assisting with shoots.
  • Create high-quality motion graphics and animations for a variety of projects including promotional videos, social media content, explainer videos and more.
  • Overseeing the quality and progress of audio and video engineering and editing.
  • Exploring various artistic styles and cutting-edge content techniques.
  • Apply your creative point of view to conceptualise, brainstorm and discover innovative solutions for creative challenges.
  • You may also carry out online editing duties which involve finalising technical aspects such as correcting faulty footage, grading and colouring and adding special effects.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • At least one year's experience in a video production/marketing-related organisation.
  • Proficiency in operating various types of cameras from DSLRs to professional-level video cameras.
  • A strong portfolio of brand, digital and design projects.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • A driving licence (or working towards one).

Desirable Skills

  • Level 3 qualification in a related field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Audition and Photoshop.
  • Proficiency in lighting design and cinematic composition.
  • Experience or interest in sound design/sound recording.
  • Proficiency in photography and various photographic methodologies.
  • Experience in drone video and photography.

Further Information

The Employer is: THE COLLECTIVE BELFAST LTD Although this is a full time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. Salary: 16-17 £6.40, 18-20 £8.60, 21 plus £11.44 per hour.
