The Resource Centre Derry/Londonderry currently manages a number of recycling projects with plans to expand these projects to offer further upskilling and reskilling opportunities. They will be responsible for the refurbishment, repair, reuse, and recycling of electrical white goods as part for our repair and reuse recycling project. They will be required to check all incoming goods to ensure that they can be safely reused and take responsibility for the supervision and skills training of participants and volunteers, safely..

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all donated electrical items are safety checked and are compliant with current electrical regulations and safety requirements.
• Responsible for training and supervision of trainees/volunteers.
• Responsible for meeting repair and sales targets.
• Maintain and provide accurate records and reports to management in a timely fashion

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Fully qualified domestic Level 3 Electrician.

Desirable Skills

• Good level of English, Maths and Microsoft Word/Excel.
