Job description

Learn and assist in maintaining golf course grounds by mowing, edging, and cultivating turf, as well as participating in irrigation and landscaping activities under supervision..

Responsibilities

• Assist in mowing and maintaining turf areas on the golf course.
• Learn and participate in edging, fertilizing, and seeding activities.
• Support irrigation system operations and troubleshoot basic issues.
• Help with landscaping tasks, including planting and maintaining ornamental plants.
• Collaborate with experienced greenkeepers to learn proper equipment usage and maintenance.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines during daily tasks.
• Gain knowledge in pest and disease control methods for turf management.
• Attend training sessions to enhance skills in golf course maintenance practices.
• Contribute to a clean and organized work environment.
• Execute additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

Further Information

The Employer is: MASSEREENE GOLF CLUB Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. Salary: 16-17 £6.40, 18-20 £8.60, 21 plus £11.44 per hour.
