Somerton Private Nursing Home is a long established family run Dementia Care Nursing Home in North Belfast. We pride ourselves on our family atmosphere and our long-standing care team providing excellent levels of care to our 26 residents. We have been recognised as one of the top 20 homes in Northern Ireland through the carehome.co.uk awards in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023. We currently have an opportunity for a Domestic Assistant to join our team based at our Dementia Care Nursing Home in North Belfast. The role will be based on day shift over five days 8am-1pm (25 hours per week) Monday-Sunday with opportunities for overtime. Preference will be given to those with experience of paid Domestic or Housekeeping/Cleaning work. Some experience of a similar care setting would be preferred however not essential as full training is provided..

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will work with their colleagues of all levels to ensure a high level of cleanliness and infection control is in maintained in the home.
• Keeping accurate and up to date records where required
• Compliance with COSHH regulations.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Some experience of a similar care setting would be preferred however not essential as full training is provided
