Casual Refuse Collection Driver Crew Leaders


Job description

Drive and be responsible for any vehicle allocated for the purposes of delivering a waste collection, cleansing or other appropriate service. Operate in all weather conditions and supervise (refuse collection vehicles) Council vehicles and allocated (collection) crew. Duties include the collection and delivery of municipal wastes and cleansing activity within the Council district to transfer or treatment points in all areas..

Responsibilities

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Applicants must possess a minimum of a valid and current Large Goods Vehicle LGV Category C Licence Drivers Qualification Card Digital Tachograph Card Applicants must possess a minimum of 1 years experience driving a Large Goods Vehicle LGV vehicle
  • Experience must include Completion of vehicle pre-use inspections to include logging and reporting vehicle defects, Dealing with the public. Record keeping. Digital Tachograph EU Drivers Hours.
  • Technical Competencies knowledge.

Desirable Skills

  • A minimum of 2 years Supervisory Team Lead or Chargehand experience.
  • Knowledge of the Working Time Directive 2003 88 EC.
