Job description

Purpose and Function of Post To provide first line support for staff and elected members to address technical difficulties and IT related requests, using the helpdesk management system to record and manage support requests. .

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, configuration, deployment and maintenance of desktop systems.
• To assist with monitoring and maintain the computer systems of the council.
• To assist with the installation, configuration computer systems, diagnose hardware and software faults and solve technical and applications problems presented to the helpdesk function.
• To assist with projects, procurement, service contract management and System performance and management.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Applicants must have a third level qualification in an IT related discipline and a minimum one years experience in an IT technical support role.
