Job description

As Laboratory ICT Deputy Lead, the post holder will have responsibility for the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and other IT systems used across Pathology, to ensure they fulfil the Department’s operational and business requirements. They will work in collaboration with the Trust ICT Department, Business Services Organisation Laboratory ICT team and System suppliers to ensure the various systems, including communications systems, remain up to date and meet the needs of the Pathology Departments and service users..

Responsibilities

• Provide expert user level support to the laboratory and clinical users.
• Coordinating and managing any changes, updates and developments of the system ensuring proper testing ahead of implementation.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• A University Information Technology related Degree. And 2 years experience with IT Systems. OR HND or equivalent in an ICT related subject. And 3 years experience with IT Systems.
• Willingness to travel between sites as and when required.
