Telecoms Technical Engineer
Job description
The post holder will assist the Telecoms Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of Trust’s Telecommunications systems. This will include the day-to-day monitoring and configuration of all telecom systems and other associated telecom equipment. They will have a high level of specialist knowledge of telecommunications systems, including advance troubleshooting skills and experience of managing disaster recovery of systems. The post holder will assist in formulating and managing as required, delegated operational policies, procedures and monitoring processes to establish and deliver effective and efficient systems in accordance with Trust objectives and priorities..
Responsibilities
- Provide effective and efficient end-user support through ensuring that all telecom incidents are resolved within the agreed resolution timeframes.
- Analyse telecom incidents and trends to identify, log and resolve any underlying problems present on telecom systems.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- A computer related qualification (Degree / HND / equivalent or above) and at least two years relevant experience (working at Band 5 or equivalent) in a telecoms and/or networking role. OR
- At least three years relevant experience working as a Band 5 or equivalent in a telecoms and/or networking role.
- Must demonstrate experience of supporting and maintaining IP based telecom systems.
