Job description

The training programme is a 4 year apprenticeship in conjunction with the further education colleges. Apprentices are employed by Little Electrical. .

Responsibilities

• Shadow a Qualified Electrician
• Assist a Qualified Electrician with all tasks and follow their instructions
• Understand the needs of the jobs and projects you are working on
• Use a variety of tools and techniques to assist with the completion of electrical and general tasks
• Assist with the installation of new electrical systems
• Help to diagnose and repair faults, assemble and install various electrical components and systems

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• GCSE Maths at Grade C or equivalent
• GCSE English at Grace C or equivalent
• A willingness to participate fully in the training programme whilst in-company and at college
• A proven interest in gaining the skills, knowledge and experience to work safely, effectively and efficiently within the electrical field
• The ability to take and follow instruction

Desirable Skills

• Any proven previous experience in manual labour
