Job description

In order to meet the overall mission of the Trust the post holder will: Support the Aseptic Services Manager and the Lead Pharmacy Technician in the provision of aseptic services throughout the Trust ensuring both professional and legal requirements are met. Manage the technical aspects of aseptic services provision through leading, directing and co-ordinating technical staff. Train and assess competency of technicians and support staff within the aseptic unit .

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate the planning of daily work schedules in conjunction with the lead pharmacy technician and pharmacists.
• Maximise the utilisation of staff in line with workflow demands and waiting times to meet the varying needs of the service.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Must have worked as a qualified pharmacy technician for 5 years AND 2 years at Band 5 working in GMP environment (Aseptics, QA, production, radiopharmacy)

Desirable Skills

• Attendance at the Leeds course on aseptic dispensing or an equivalent course or will be required to attend within 12 months of taking up this post
