Senior Pharmacy Technician Aseptic Services Band 5.

Responsibilities

• To perform any other duties as assigned from time to time.
• To participate in any staff appraisal schemes organised by the Trust.
• Support the Chief Technician in the provision of aseptic services throughout the trust ensuring both professional and legal requirements are met.
• Assist the Chief Technician to manage the technical aspects of aseptic services provision through leading, directing and co-ordinating technical staff.
• Train and assess competency of technicians and support staff within the aseptic unit.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• 3 years as a qualified pharmacy technician in hospital of which 6 months must have been working in a GMP environment (aseptics, QA, production, radiopharmacy).

Desirable Skills

• Attendance at the Leeds course on aseptic dispensing or an equivalent course or willing to attend within specified time period.
