Job description

Pharmacy Technician Aseptic Services based in Dundonald - Ulster Hospital, Upper Newtownards Road.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the environmental monitoring of the aseptic services section.
• Assist in the collection and compilation of data relevant to the service
• Be involved in the work of the Aseptic Service and Cancer unit sections providing the pharmaceutical service under the direction, control and supervision of pharmacists and senior technicians.
• Participate in the work of the other sections of the department under the direction, control and supervision of the appropriate pharmacist.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• If qualified after June 2009 : BTEC and NVQ3 in Pharmacy Services / BTEC L3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians or equivalent (see below) in pharmacy plus 18 months experience.
