Job description

The post holder will provide day to day support to the tenants of this Sheltered Living Scheme. They will liaise directly with the tenants, their relatives and Health and Social Services, whilst managing the scheme to ensure a safe and secure environment..

Responsibilities

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • One year's recent experience providing professional and paid care/support services
  • Demonstrable IT skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Admin experience - collate and organise records; use initiative
  • Caring, sensitive & diplomatic; able to react calmly to emergency situation and use initiative

Desirable Skills

  • CLAIT or equivalent; Administration; Qualification in housing or support/care
  • Recent experience providing care/support to older people who have retired
  • Knowledge of Welfare & Health Services; Knowledge of problems associated with ageing, sheltered housing; knowledge of Health & Safety, customer awareness
  • Supervision of staff
  • Able to respond to emergencies after working hours

Further Information

Salary: £26,061 - £31,025 per annum.
