Office Assistant
Job description
The Employer is: THE CHURCHES TRUST LTD. We are looking for an office assistant who would like to gain experience working in the third sector. At the Churches Trust you will gain experience learning how to provide admin and support to the many projects currently offered by the Churches Trust. These projects include community development, community education, social supermarket, addressing food poverty and youth work. You will gain experience supporting staff within our key departments and we will help you develop your skills in a supportive environment that will be invaluable to the right candidate..
Responsibilities
- Reception duties - answering phone calls, directing calls, taking messages, and dealing with enquiries.
- Data input using Microsoft software (Word, Outlook and Excel).
- Assisting with project activities, including scheduling staff/service user meetings, booking taxis.
- Assisting staff with event planning and on the day activities.
- Carrying out cost price comparisons ensuring value for money across project deliveries.
- Office filing, photocopying and scanning documents.
- Any other duties which are consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the post.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Good communication skills (including English).
- Good numeracy skills.
- Ability to work on own.
- Good ICT skills.
Desirable Skills
- Awareness in dealing with Health and Safety, Data Protection, Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection and other general workplace policies and procedures.
- Experience of working in the Voluntary and Charity Sector.
- Experience of working in an office environment.

The Employer is: THE CHURCHES TRUST LTD. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended, and it could lead to a permanent position.
