Job description

We are seeking to appoint 2 Personal Care Assistants to join our committed team providing excellent home support as part of a 24/7 care package. These positions are to provide care and support for a male in his forties living in his family home in the Omagh area. The gentleman is deaf, has a learning disability and medical needs. Full training and paid shadowing will be provided as part of Induction. .

Responsibilities

• Provide support based upon the individual's needs as defined within his care & support plan, health care passport and in-house training manuals
• Provide all elements of personal care, support and assistance
• Accompany and transport the individual to appointments and/or outings

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Have a minimum of 12 months paid experience working as a Personal Care Assistant within the caring sector
• Willing to undertake mandatory training as required e.g. (Infection Control, ISL, Fire Safety, First Aid, Manual Handling, Food Hygiene, Behaviour Management, Safeguarding etc.)
• A full, clean UK driving licence (with at least 12 months driving experience) as you will be required to drive gentlemen's vehicle (manual)

Further Information

Work Time: Shifts available, waking nights: 8pm- 8am-Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday. Extra shifts available can/may include days/waking nights, weekends and bank holidays. Access NI enhanced check and right to work in the UK required - completed by the employer.
