Job description

Part-time hours available for an incredible young person to join our small team. Play Town provides a calm and safe environment for parents/care givers to come along with their little ones and enjoy a coffee and snack whilst the children use their imaginations to immerse themselves in new roles within the play village. You will be assisting another member of staff in day-to-day running of the role play café. Ensuring the premises is kept clean, safe and stimulating for the little ones who attend. The successful applicant will be required to have an Access NI check carried out before starting the new role..

Responsibilities

• To work within the team to set up and clear up after role play sessions.
• To provide a high standard of customer service to all who attend Play Town.
• Check appointment bookings at the start of each session.
• Take customer's orders in the café area.
• Prepare hot drinks and serve snacks following all food hygiene standards.
• Answering customer phone enquires.
• Help run/support children's birthday parties.
• Handle cash and card transactions.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Good communication skills.
• Creativity skills
• Willingness to learn and develop through formal training.

Further Information

The Employer is: PLAY TOWN NI Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. Salary: 16-17 £6.40, 18-20 £8.60, 21 plus £11.44 per hour.
