Job description

The Software Engineer will be responsible for product maintenance and development. The maintenance will be carried out on a random basis when issues and defects occur in the system. Further development duties of the product will occur during the remaining free time, on a project basis..

Responsibilities

• Maintain system by monitoring and correcting software defects.
• Further develop existing programs.
• Design, write and test new software programs.
• Carry out essential security practices.
• Analyse user requirements.
• Consult clients and colleagues concerning the maintenance and performance of the product.
• Investigate new technologies.
• Continually grow technical knowledge.
• Random but limited windows of work may be required if and when needs be, due to unexpected software issues that arise.

• Strong coding skills: Java, PHP, Laravel, Bootstrap CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, jQuery, Ajax, HTML.
• Testing and debugging code.
• Problem-solving.
• Time management.
• Organisation.
• Communication.

• Data science, algorithms and machine learning.
• Cloud computing.
• Cybersecurity.
• Project management.

Further Information
