Senior Pharmacy Technician Aseptic Services
Job description
In order to meet the overall mission of the Trust the post holder will: Support the Chief Technician in the provision of aseptic services throughout the trust ensuring both professional and legal requirements are met. Assist the Chief Technician to manage the technical aspects of aseptic services provision through leading, directing and co ordinating technical staff. Train and assess competency of technicians and support staff within the aseptic unit. .
Responsibilities
- To complete the accredited checking technician Pre and in-process checking (PIP) qualification within 18 months of appointment
- To participate in the management and provision of all aspects of the Aseptic Services section of the Pharmacy department.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- 3 years as a qualified pharmacy technician in hospital of which 6 months must have been working in a GMP environment aseptics, QA, production, radiopharmacy. Applicants who meet the 3 years by 1 Aug 2024 will be eligible to apply
Desirable Skills
- Attendance at the Leeds course on aseptic dispensing or an equivalent course or willing to attend within specified time period
