Job description

The delivery of the Youth Engagement Plus Programme, including the delivery of the agreed action plan, sourcing of programme funding, line managing of volunteers and staff when applicable. The implementation of ISYCA's policies..

Responsibilities

• To work directly with young people to develop their social, personal and academic education through sourcing, planning and providing programmes of activities, directly tailored to the needs of each group.
• To identify, prioritise and deliver a programme of youth work activities based on need in the Irish Street area, related to the Model for Effective Practice

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Northern Ireland Youth Service Youth Support Worker qualification Or OCN level 3 Introduction to Youth Work and Programme Development Or An equivalent Youth Work qualification or higher Plus a minimum of one year's experience in a youth work setting

Desirable Skills

• A working knowledge of the needs of young people including the social and economic needs of the Irish Street and wider waterside area
