Catering Assistant


Job description

A 25 hour post working in The Bosco Café alongside existing staff team. The person would work on sandwiches, hot food preparation, customer service and in the process, learn barista skills, food hygiene and preparation..

Responsibilities

  • Food preparation.
  • Till operation and managing customer payments.
  • Maintaining high hygiene standards throughout the café.
  • Understanding social enterprise.
  • Preparation of outside catering.
  • Stock control.
  • Supporting marketing and social media content.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Basic food hygiene skills.
  • A good standard of maths and English.

Desirable Skills

  • No previous catering experience is required as full training will be given.

Further Information

The Employer is: ARTILLERY YOUTH CENTRE Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
