Bartender


Job description

As a part of The Morning Star front of house team, you’ll demonstrate a keen interest in delivering an extraordinary level of customer service and sharing a great food experience with our customers. Your communication skills will be first class and you'll enjoy interacting with customers and work well within a team environment. This is a permanent position for a Bartender, as part of this role they will support the serving team in the day to day running of all aspects of a busy and dynamic public house. This role may include working on your own in quieter situations..

Responsibilities

  • Assisting customers with all requirements by offering suggestions and demonstrating great product knowledge at all times.
  • Providing an excellent experience to each customer who visits the bar and ensuring that all customer needs are exceeded.
  • Take orders and deliver them to the table accurately.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers.
  • Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area.
  • Restock bar supplies and ensure inventory levels are sufficient.
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Basic Math skills for cash handling and calculating drink prices.
  • Creativity and a love for making great cocktails and drinks for our guests is a must.
  • Ability to interact with all guests and ability to have fun and engage with our younger diners.
  • Organisational skills - using a daily check list and ensuring that the bar is correctly set up with all items that may be needed during a service including those needed to make cocktails and liqueur coffees and fruit for garnishes.

Desirable Skills

  • The ability to work on your own or within a team.
  • Strong hospitality skills to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
  • Basic use of till operation and cash handling.
  • Knowledge of the food industry, including different types of beverages.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The Employer is: THE MORNING STAR PUBLIC HOUSE LTD. Although this is a full-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position.
