The post holder will play a lead role in the validation and implementation of a replacement core blood management system for NIBTS. This system has recently been procured with and implementation target date of late 2025..

Responsibilities

• Maintain their knowledge of current legislation and best practice in the field of validation.In conjunction with Q&RC Manager, develop and implement the NIBTS Validation Strategy and Validation Master Plan.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Undergraduate Degree (2.2 or above) in Relevant Discipline and Educated to MSc level or equivalent experience. Or MSc in Biomedical Sciences or an equivalent professional qualification (FIBMS). and HPC registered Biomedical Scientist.

Desirable Skills

• Two Years experience post HPC registration in Transfusion Science Haematology.
