Person Specification: MCMS is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Warehousing Operative to join our team. We're looking for someone who's eager to learn and grow in the field of warehouse operations, with a knack for organisation and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong work ethic and a proactive approach to their tasks, ready to dive into the day-to-day operations with enthusiasm..

Responsibilities

  • Verifying quantities and quality of inbound goods against documentation. Identifying and recording any discrepancies.
  • Manually moving stock and safely storing goods in designated locations within the warehouse.
  • Conducting regular inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels and identify any discrepancies.
  • Maintaining accurate records of inventory movements, shipments and other warehouse activities using digital spreadsheets.
  • Selecting and preparing stored goods for dispatch according to picking lists.
  • Packaging items securely for shipment ensuring proper labelling and documentation.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards within the warehouse including brushing floors, removing debris and organising shelves.
  • Following all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
  • Communication and collaboration with other MCMS staff to ensure efficient operations.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Good numeracy skills - GCSE grade C and above or recognised equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Organisational skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • Please note: The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job.

Desirable Skills

  • Warehousing experience.
  • Previous manual handling experience.
  • Training provided.

The Employer is: MCCUNE MANAGEMENT SERVICES LTD Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. Wage, 16/17 £6.40, 18/20yrs £10.00, 21yrs or over £12.50
