Health & Safety Technician
Job description
The Employer is: CONSULT CPK LTD. The Health & Safety Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring workplace safety. Their responsibilities involve working closely with the Health & Safety Consultants, assisting with assessing and mitigating risks to protect our Clients workers and maintain compliance with safety regulations. .
Responsibilities
- Inspecting: Work Environments: assist with the assessment of workplace conditions, equipment, and practices. Inspection: assist with verifying that equipment functions correctly and is used safely.
- Reports and Policies: Data Compilation: assist with compiling technical reports based on real-time observations and collected samples. Policy Development: Contribute to safety policies by providing insights from their findings.
- Ergonomic Testing and Observation: In office settings, focus on ergonomic testing and observation. Ensure workstations are safe and comfortable for employees.
- Safety Culture and Training: Safety Culture: Help foster a strong safety culture within our Clients and our workforce. Training: Assist with providing safety training to our Clients employees and management.
- Risk Management and Incident Investigation: Risk Identification: Proactively identify risks and hazards. Incident Reporting: Assist with investigating workplace incidents and prepare written reports.
- Compliance and Audits: Regulatory Compliance: Assist with ensuring adherence to UK legislation, and local safety regulations. Safety Audits: Assist with conducting safety audits to monitor performance.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- The Safety Technician will need to possess exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
- They will be required to travel throughout N Ireland and contribute significantly to the overall efficiency of the organisation and support the success of executives.
Desirable Skills
- Good communication skills and working knowledge of Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
