Job description

The successful candidate will be working on a wide range of projects across Ireland, UK and Europe. You will have the responsibility for the preparations of outline designs, detailed designs, and technical specifications..

Responsibilities

• Preparing designs and drawings.
• Making calculations about loads and stresses.
• Selecting appropriate construction materials.
• Providing technical advice.
• Obtaining planning and/or building regulations approval.
• Liaising with colleagues to deliver projects.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng, 2:1 or above);
• Experience in structural steel designing.
• Strong knowledge of Tekla or similar.

Desirable Skills

• A good working knowledge of construction methods, materials and legal regulations is important.
• Commercial awareness.
• Ability to work within a team.
• Excellent mathematical, IT and analytical skills.
