Lead Radiopharmacy Technician (Aseptics)


Job description

To lead, deliver, monitor and assess systems for the safe, efficient provision and day to day management of the Radiopharmacy department within the Aseptic unit in accordance with relevant national guidance and legislation.

Responsibilities

  • To lead on the technical pharmacy delivery of high risk diagnostic Radiopharmaceutical injections from the aseptics unit, for outpatients attending the Nuclear Medicine Department

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years as a qualified Pharmacy Technician, 2 of which must have been as a Band 5/senior technician in Aseptics and Manufacturing
  • Hold a PIPACT qualification

Desirable Skills

  • Attendance at University of Leeds course - Aseptic Preparation and Dispensing of Medicines (APDM)
