Receptionist/Administrator
Job description
To provide a point of contact for patients and act as a focal point of communication between patients, doctors and other members of the practice primary care team. An understanding, acceptance and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality. An ability to use own judgement, resourcefulness, common sense and local knowledge, in order to respond to patients' enquiries and requests. .
Responsibilities
- Receive and make calls as required in a courteous manner. Divert calls and take messages as appropriate.
- Enter data on computer, maintain, update and monitor computerised patient database, in accordance with protocols.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Diligent, with the ability to work in an organised manner to a high degree of accuracy. Well spoken and articulate with excellent communication skills both verbal and written and telephone manner.
- Computer literacy with excellent keyboard skills. The ability to work under pressure.
Further Information
Salary: £23,445.00 per annum (pro rata).
