Social Media and Brand Manager


Job description

The Employer is: EKO FOR PURPOSE. We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media and Brand Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive social media strategies to increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and ultimately, generate leads and sales. This role requires an understanding of various social media platforms, marketing techniques, and trends, along with excellent communication and analytical skills. This is a new role within the company and as we continue to grow, we feel it is necessary to focus on the brand as well as our B2C sales. .

Responsibilities

  • Content Creation: Create engaging and visually appealing content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) that aligns with our brand's values and resonates with our target audience.
  • Social Media Management: Manage and monitor our social media accounts, including scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and responding to comments and messages.
  • Influencer Outreach: Research and identify potential influencers and brand partners aligned with our values. Assist in building and nurturing relationships with them to promote our products.
  • Email Marketing: Assist in crafting and designing email campaigns, newsletters, and promotional materials using email marketing tools.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitors' strategies. Summarise findings to inform marketing strategies.
  • Event Coordination: Support in the planning and execution of events, pop-up shops, and collaborations to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Graphic Design: Basic graphic design tasks, such as creating graphics for social media posts and marketing materials using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Any other relevant tasks that will help the company grow.

  • Problem-Solving: Resourcefulness and problem-solving skills to overcome challenges and optimize performance through data-driven insights and innovative solutions.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in content creation, campaign management, and performance analysis.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management and organizational skills to effectively prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey ideas effectively and engage with diverse audiences across various channels.

Desirable Skills

  • Graphic Design: Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva to create visually appealing graphics and branded assets for social media posts and advertisements.
  • SEO Knowledge: Understanding of search engine optimisation (SEO) principles and techniques to optimize social media content for improved discoverability and organic reach.
  • Content Marketing: Familiarity with content marketing strategies, including storytelling, audience segmentation, and distribution tactics, to create engaging and relevant content that drives audience engagement and conversions.
  • Crisis Management: Experience or training in crisis management and reputation management to effectively address and mitigate negative feedback or public relations issues on social media platforms.

Further Information

The Employer is: EKO FOR PURPOSE. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended, and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
