This new role would focus on the catering aspects of our busy visitor attraction. Working alongside the catering team, the Junior Catering Assistant would be trained on food preparation and baking as well as delivery of successful services..

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation, baking and cooking of food in a busy café environment.
• Taking orders and using an EPOS till.
• Delivering great customer service to visitors.
• Cash handling.
• Cleaning, clearing tables and end of day cleaning.
• Work in accordance with policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Ability to work as part of a team, building good communication skills.
• Can-do attitude.
• Great customer service skills, particularly with families and children.
• Organisational and time management skills.
• An interest in cooking and baking.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in a catering environment.
• Barista knowledge.
• Experience of cooking and baking.

Further Information

The Employer is: THE ARK OPEN FARM. Salary: Under 18 £6.40, 18-20 £8.60, 21 & over £11.44 per hour. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
