Job description

In order to meet the overall mission of the Trust the post holder will: Assist the Chief Pharmacy Technician, Patient Services / Senior Pharmacist, Patient Services with all aspects of dispensing and distribution activities in the Pharmacy Department to ensure stock is managed effectively in delivery of a quality service. Supervise the day to day activities of assigned pharmacy assistant technical officers, optimising efficiency and workflow to ensure that the team carries out the duties required of them to the accepted standards within the accepted timescale .

Responsibilities

• Label, dispense and supply prescribed items to a high level of accuracy under the supervision of a qualified pharmacist or Accuracy Checking Technician in line with departmental SOPs
• Work to a high level of accuracy at all times.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• 5 GCSEs grades A-G, or equivalent. Must include English Language and Mathematics at Grade A-C AND One years experience working as a pharmacy support worker in a pharmacy environment
