Job description

This post will be part of the Inpatient Mental Health Occupational Therapy Service which will facilitate and support adults who have a variety of mental health conditions in an Inpatient hospital unit . The post holder will use their skills under the supervisionand direction of an Occupational Therapist to assist in the provision of recovery focused, flexible client centered programmes .

Responsibilities

• Work alongside and under the direction of Occupational Therapists to support clients with mental health needs in hospital setting.
• Undertake work as directed by Occupational Therapists with adults who have a range of complex mental health conditions.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• 3 passes at GCSE Level ( A-C) including English or equivalent plus 1 years paid experience working directly with persons who are elderly/physically disabled/ learning disability /mental health conditions.
• Or: 2 years paid experience working with client group as above.
