Lead Pharmacist Rheumatology with on call Band 8A
Job description
Work as a lead specialist biologics clinical pharmacist for Rheumatology and dermatology services providing a high level of Clinical Pharmacy input to inpatient and outpatient patients in SET. Oversee and support provision of clinical pharmacy services to dermatology services. Manage a team of pharmacists working across clinical pharmacy services. Lead, develop and deliver a high quality patient focused clinical pharmacy service to rheumatology patients on biologics including ensuring medicines are used as safely as possible for patients with co-morbidities and polypharmacy. Participate in multidisciplinary clinics, including virtual clinics, prescribing for a cohort of patients and influence on the cost effective use of biologics to minimise waste. .
Responsibilities
- Be an Independent Pharmacist Prescribe within the specialist area of Rheumatology & dermatology.
- To be a highly specialist practitioner providing and co-ordinating the clinical service to these patient groups.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- 5 years post registration experience including 3 years in hospital of which 2 years must be at band 7 or above
- MPharm or equivalent and registered with or eligible to register with the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland PSNI
Desirable Skills
- Experience of working in rheumatology
- Experience of working with biologic therapies
